Marilyn Maler, DVM

After graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999, Dr. Maler joined a mixed animal veterinary hospital in South Florida where she worked until 2005. During that time, she pursued basic education in both acupuncture and spinal manipulation. She sought acupuncture education from the world-renowned Dr. Shen Xie. In 2005, she became an acupuncture instructor for Dr. Xie at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine where she continues to instruct at all basic and advanced courses. Her spinal manipulation education began at The Healing Oasis Wellness Center and Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic. She worked as an instructor at Options For Animals and as a certifying examiner for the IVCA. At the same time, Dr. Maler founded SunSpirit Farm and Veterinary Services, Inc., a practice which limits services to equine sports medicine, manual therapy, acupuncture and rehabilitation. Dr. Maler achieved Diplomat accreditation through the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2013 while simultaneously studying at The Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy from which she graduated in 2016.
