Dr. Tamara Gull is a Tufts graduate who completed a large animal internship at the University of Georgia, a large animal internal medicine residency at Texas A&M University and a PhD in veterinary microbiology at Texas A&M. She worked for Oklahoma State University for a number of years teaching veterinary microbiology, veterinary disaster management and large animal clinical medicine, then moved to the University of Missouri to run the bacteriology and mycology section of their Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. AT MU she specifically focuses on zoonotic disease, rational antibiotic use and infection control practices. She is board-certified in Large Animal Internal medicine, Preventive Medicine and Veterinary Microbiology. She also serves in the U.S. Army Reserve Veterinary Corps at the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Veterinary Services at Lackland AFB in Texas. Her research investigates bacterial respiratory diseases of livestock and horses.
